This is a song about hitting rock bottom within a relationship and being so lost that you feel you are too far gone to get back. The song starts with the longing to know God and continues with questions such as "Am I too far gone to make you happy? for you to love me? to really care?" These were my questions to God when I was at this rock bottom place. Fortunately God answered them and the answer was "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified become of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6. What I learned was that even though we may have and ask these questions, the truth is that we are never too far gone for God to love us.
